Drought

Last week I had a rare opportunity to spend some time alone with my camera. I went to a local park, and was awed by what is happening. We have had trace amounts of rain for the last two months. I don't even know how behind we are on rain, but last I heard it was 5 inches, and that was probably a month ago.

Look at those roots, reaching for the water:

The shore of this little pond has receded by several feet!

yucky!
at least I was able to find something growing!

Baby {E} - 7 months

This is one of those babies who makes my job EASY! She was happy and smiling the entire time. And I've never seen a baby with such GREEN eyes. I'm mesmerized.

2012 Grad {Miss B}

OH my goodness, this was SUCH a fun shoot. This lovely lady is graduating from high school this year after some very trying times throughout her teens. She has plans to go to college, and she should be VERY proud of herself for all that she has overcome. It was an absolute pleasure and honor to photograph her with this beautiful horse. I am dying to move my family to the country. I love the pastures, the big blue sky, the peace and quiet. The first half of this shoot was done at her home, and the second half was at Bonneyville Mill park in Middlebury, a wonderful scenic place. She is a beautiful girl, and her pictures turned out so great.

Wedding {K & T}

I've posted much of this wedding on Facebook already, but here are some more pics I added some special effects to. I rather like how they turned out. It was a very beautiful wedding and blending of two families.
Bride and Groom now have 5 kids altogether, and I can relate to that! Theirs are a bit older than mine though, so I now know what I have to look forward to. Congratulations and best wishes to K & T. I look forward to watching your family grow.

Family {B}

This was a BIG, FUN family to take pictures of. It was 3 generations: Grandma and Grandpa, their 3 lovely daughters, and THEIR families. Lately I've been fascinated with my own family history, and I think these photos will be great to pass down through the generations of this family.

Water

I am entering this pic in  Rock The Shot's April photo contest: Water.
I took this during a family session last fall, and I really love how it turned out. It was right around sun-down, and was just dark enough for the street lights in the park to turn on, creating a really cool lighting effect.
