Family {B}

This was a BIG, FUN family to take pictures of. It was 3 generations: Grandma and Grandpa, their 3 lovely daughters, and THEIR families. Lately I've been fascinated with my own family history, and I think these photos will be great to pass down through the generations of this family.

Water

I am entering this pic in  Rock The Shot's April photo contest: Water.
I took this during a family session last fall, and I really love how it turned out. It was right around sun-down, and was just dark enough for the street lights in the park to turn on, creating a really cool lighting effect.

{B & A} Wedding

I got to photograph a winter wedding last weekend. It was a beautiful snowy day - something we haven't had much of this season. I heard the pastor say this couple has been together for 9 years! So this wedding was a long time coming for them, and I was privileged to be the one to document it for them.

This last picture really touched me. The couple in the middle is the groom's grandparents. They have been married for 64 years! What a beautiful thing, and an inspiration to these newlyweds.

Baby {N} - newborn

In my last post I brought you my friend {T} at the very end of her pregnancy. Just a couple weeks later, this precious little Miracle was born, little sister to 4 older siblings. These pictures were taken at 9 days old. So beautiful. Welcome to the world, sweet girl.

Baby Belly! {Mama T}

I don't know why, but I LOVE doing maternity pics. Having been pregnant twice, I know that pregnancy is such a unique time in a woman's life (well, most women - not so unique if you're on your 18th pregnancy, in which case NOT being pregnant is more unique). In any case, it is truly a miracle to grow another human being inside of you. It's a time of anticipation, excitement, planning, and changing. This little Miracle has 4 older siblings to love and care for her, and I have a feeling she will be a little bit spoiled. She's due to enter the world any day now, and I'll be there to capture one of her first days.

Snow Day!

We just had a snow storm. Not a huge one, but big enough for them to cancel school. We got about 9 inches of snow over 2 days, but since the storm was preceded by a day of rain, everything was coated with ice, which obviously makes for dangerous driving conditions. Here is a teeny little snippet of our snow day yesterday. Two of my favorite things: my adorable son who loves to eat snow, and a caramel latte that I made myself (I used to work at a coffee shop, and I must say, I make a mean caramel latte!)

Family {K} - adoption day!

What a beautiful family! These are some of the most amazing people I've ever known. This morning they adopted their 7th and 8th children (in addition to 3 biological, and countless others who call them "mom and dad" just because they're so good at it). Mr. K is our pastor, and Mrs. K is a perfect pastor's wife to him. They are living out the lives God has called them to like not many people do. They are the ones who inspired us to become foster parents, and it has been life-changing for us. This was not a full session, they just asked me to take a quick shot of them post-adoption.  Thanks for sharing your hearts and your home, and the love of Jesus, with so many who need it.
