some projects i'm working on

my first sewing project - i'm making a capri and top set for my daughter.

have the pieces all cut out now, just need to sew them together!

a painting i started last summer, and just finished a couple days ago.
this picture was taken with the flash off, so it's pretty "warm."

this one is with the flash, it's brighter. i like this one better.

my inspiration was the sunflowers growing along the side of our garage last summer.

these lovely things bloom in our backyard every spring. i love how their fragrance fills the house when i bring some in.

i was experimenting with backdrops today. i rather like the way these turned out. they are tulips and daffodils in my back yard. i stuck a piece of tag board behind them. some have too many shadows, but i posted them because other than the shadows, they're pretty pictures.

my new camera has a 'flower' setting. i could never get my old camera to focus close up on flowers. maybe i just never found the right setting, i don't know, but i am LOVING this.
i'd like to know which one(s) you guys like best.

granny square purse

i'm not sure if these are really granny squares, but they're similar. this is a work in progress, i still need to find some fabric to line the inside of the purse. i think it's really cute, and i'm going to make more.
